At 1:00 p.m. on October 9th, undergraduate students from the Department of Linguistics of BLCU, led by Xiaoning Cao, visited the Beijing Exhibition Hall. The theme of the exhibition is “Great Journey, Great Achievement-Celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of People’s Republic of China”.

This achievement exhibition is centered around the theme of “opening up and developing the socialist road with Chinese characteristics and building up a modern socialist country”. It fully displays the great achievements and valuable experience since the founding of People’s Republic of China during the past 70 years. Mao Zedong, Deng Xiaoping, Jiang Zemin, Hu Jintao and Xi Jinping as the main representatives of the Communist Party of China, united and led the whole party, the whole army, and people of all ethnic groups to open up and develope the socialist road with Chinese characteristics and build up a modern socialist country. The exhibition hall altogether divides into the five parts: Preface Hall, Standing in the East of the World, the Reform and Opening Up, Moving towards Revitalization and Man’s World. The visit lasted about two hours.

The exhibition was conducted in an orderly manner. From the visit, students had a deep understanding of the history of socialism with Chinese characteristics and the development of modernization, which benefited them a lot.
