On Monday afternoon, October 21th, a seminar was held between the Student Affairs Office and the freshmen of the Department of Linguistics. The participants were Zhan Huang, dean of Student Affair Office, and the deputy directors Yang Zhang, Tianqiao Yang, and Yue Wang. Besides, Xiaoning Cao, teacher from the office of the department of linguistics, and head teacher Wenying Wang, the part-time coordinator Xiaoxia Yao also attended this meeting. This meeting realized the direct connection between the Student Affairs Office and the undergraduate students of the 19th grade.

This seminar shows the great concern of the school to the department of linguistics. During the meeting, four teachers introduced their respective positions and delivered messages to students. At the meeting, Zhan Wang paid special attention to the class activities and the activities of the league members, and was careful about the students’ daily life. At the meeting, all the teachers affirmed the quality of grade 19 undergraduates and expressed their expectations for the future development of students. They hoped that all students could give full play to their advantages in learning, develop comprehensively, follow the pace of teachers, and set ambitious goals.

In this meeting, teachers and students looked forward to the future of the undergraduate students of the department of linguistics, which promoted the mutual understanding between students and teachers. I believe that with the help of teachers, the undergraduate students of the department of linguistics of grade 19 will grow into excellent talents!
