Dr.Michal B. Paradowski As Guest Speaker of Series Lectures on Biolinguistics and Brain Sciences

On November 8th and 11th , 2019, the Lecture Series on Biolinguistics and Brain Sciences were successfully held in the Teaching Building one of BLCU, room 107 and room 109.The speaker of the lectures was Dr. Michal B. Paradowski, Associate Professor of Research Institute of Applied. The lectures were divided into two sessions, respectively entitled “Climate change, camouflage, networks and the survival of the fittest: What do plants tell us about Language?” and “Why (Human) language needs a body?”.

Professor Fuzhen Si, Dean of the Department of Linguistics.

This series of lectures delivered by Dr. Michal B. Paradowski started with the relationship between plants, animals and biolinguistics, showing the linguistic implications of climate change, the behavior characteristics of plants and animals, survival of the fittest, and other phenomena and theories to the teachers and students. Then, from the relationship between human body and biolinguistics, he introduced the relevant researches and explorations of human body movement and language cognition.

 

The Question and Answer Session

 This lecture series was lively and interesting, and the atmosphere of the question and answer session was heated, which played a positive role in promoting students’ interests in the field of biolinguistics and brain science.
