Recently, the registration for new undergraduates and postgraduates of the Department of Linguistics in 2020 has been successfully completed.

In accordance with the requirements of the normalization of the epidemic and the unified deployment of the school, two groups working for welcoming new arrivals of the department have been carried out in an orderly manner, respectively, the pick-up group responsible for meeting new arrivals in train stations and the registration group for new arrivals’ registration. On September 11, 2020, the pick-up group went to the train stations to meet the students coming from outside Beijing as planned. The registration group assisted the freshmen to complete the registration procedures in Yifu Gymnasium. The new graduate students received the student ID card, welcome materials and other materials in turn, and completed the registration in an orderly manner. A total of 12 master's students and 3 doctoral students have completed registration this time and will start their learning in two majors of foreign linguistics and applied linguistics, as well as linguistics and applied linguistics.

On September 16, 2020, new undergraduates of the department in 2020 registered at the Yifu Gymnasium successively. Staff and volunteers of the department patiently assisted in guiding freshmen to register, and completed the procedures of identity verification, material submission, information collection, and campus card distribution.
