The Oral English Contest for the Freshmen of the Department of Linguistics Ended Successfully

To help the freshmen to adapt into their new campus life more quickly and practice their oral English skills, on the afternoon of October 17, 2021, The Oral English Contest for the Freshmen of the Department of Linguistics was held. The contest includes three parts: self-introduction by the contestants (one-minute time limit), prepared speech (Red Star Over China), and questions-and-answers.

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, and The Oral English Contest for the Freshmen also follow the theme of "Red Stars over China". It is not only a ability test for the players to tell the stories of China in English, but also a great opportunity for them to deepen their understanding of Chinas remarkable development. In this session, the contestants show a confident and high-spirited posture to tell China stories in their eyes. From them, we saw the vigorous vitality of the new era and our country.
