The Joint Conference “Changing Boundaries” and “The Third International Workshop on Syntactic Cartography (IWSC2019) was held by the Department of Linguistics, BLCU, and co-organized with the Department of Linguistics of University of Geneva, International Association of Syntactic Cartographic Studies (Macao), and Istituto Italiano di Cultura di Pechino.

The main themes of this conference are, 1. Current issues on biolinguistics and brain sciences; 2. New trends of development of linguistics and strategies of developing a new department of linguistics.

 The Third International Workshop on Syntactic Cartography (IWSC2019)

The international workshop on syntactic cartography (IWSC) is a biannual conference innitiated in 2015 and financially supported by Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU), aiming at gathering together linguists and scientists in the relevant fields who are interested in investigating the maps of syntactic structures as well as biological consequences of those syntactic structure distributions.
