Franco Amadei, a foreign expert who studied in Beijing Language and Culture University (1987-1990), is the current Director of the Italian Cultural Center and Cultural Counsellor of the Italian Embassy in China (since 2017). He has been a member of the board of directors of the Italian Chamber of Commerce, vice chairman and chairman of the Working Group on the Automobile Industry of the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China. He was awarded the “Knight of the Italian Order of Merit” and the “Knight Commander of the Italian Order of Merit” by the Italian President in 1998 and 2008 respectively for his outstanding contributions to Sino-ltalian friendly relations.
